About the Project Manager role
- The Project Manager shall be responsible for the successful planning, coordinating and management of cost, schedule and performance of all aspects of complex engineering projects and tasks
- Serves as the technical point of contact for the Program Manager and team members on a project or task
- Directly contributes to program efforts in several areas, including task cost, schedule, and deliverables status updates
- As well as, monitoring risks, and presenting risk containment strategies to ensure proper performance of tasks necessary for efficient and effective execution of the contract
- Will utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
What you'll do
The Level 1.5 Project Manager shall possess the following capabilities:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements imposed by the contract in coordination with the Contractor's contracts staff
- Review risk and risk mitigation activities and allocate budgets for the same
- Communicate issues and solutions in a timely manner
- Work with the higher level program manager, if applicable, to provide effective and efficient management of the contractor's effort
- Allocate resources (staffing, facilities, and budgets) on the effort
- Manage the activities of the project team
- Oversee the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs or end user applications
- Provide direction and mentoring to project team members
- set the appropriate goals and objectives
- Ensure the timely recruitment and training of project staff - both direct and indirect
- Ensure cross-discipline integration within the contract to meet Government needs
- Coordinate the preparation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and value engineering proposals to the Government PM
- Review all financial and technical reports before release to the Government
What you'll bring
Qualifications:
- The Project Manager shall have a Bachelor's Degree in a Computer, Business or Math related field and five (7) years experience in two of the following system categories: acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting
- Shall be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), DoD 5000 series, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 801 policies
- An Associate's Degree and an additional seven (7) years may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree
