About the Certified Electrician role
- Designs and installs power distribution lines within facilities and to equipment racks
- Installs, tests, and maintains conduit, junction boxes, power-filtering equipment, power monitoring equipment, UPS systems, redundant and backup systems
What you'll do
The Level 2 Certified Electrician shall possess the following capabilities:
- Obtain proper permits as required by law to carry out electrical work on construction projects
- Read, employ, and update electrical panel schedules and building or system blueprints and schematics
- Study blueprints and schematics and determine methods, materials, and equipment needed to complete the assignment
- Supervise apprentices and oversee journeymen who do the electrical work
- Test installations to check and insure continuity of the circuit, and the compatibility and safety of all components using test equipment
- Connect wires to plugs, switches, controls, motors, breaker panels and switchboards
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, junction, switch, outlet boxes, and switch boards
What you'll bring
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Master Electrician License issued by the state (or have reciprocity rights) where work is to be performed.
