About the Certified Electrician role
- Designs and installs power distribution lines within facilities and to equipment racks
- Installs, tests, and maintains conduit, junction boxes, power-filtering equipment, power monitoring equipment, UPS systems, redundant and backup systems
What you'll do
The Level 1 Certified Electrician shall possess the following capabilities:
- Lay out, assemble, repair, maintain, connect, and test electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment and wiring for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric energy
- Plan and install panel boards, switch boxes, and other related devices
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduits and other kinds of electrical conductor enclosures
- Test the installed and existing equipment and electrical systems to ensure proper and safe functionality
- Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment
- Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
- Use a variety of electrician's tools and measuring and testing instruments
What you'll bring
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the state (or have reciprocity rights) where work is to be performed.
