Cable Lead - Cleared, Level 2

What you'll do

• The Level 1 Cable Lead shall possess the capabilities of the Level 2 Cable Technician, in addition to the following: Provide technical expertise to team members
• Provide daily oversight for executing training and keeping track of tasks that have been assigned
• Responsible for ensuring that team members have the technical skills and training necessary to complete their assignments
• Cable leads track that each team member's tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and reports deficiencies only to their requisite Cable Support Managers
• The cable lead should be energetic, and an effective communicator, to help ensure that all team members know their assigned tasks and technical questions are answered
• The cable lead shall possess the necessary skills to motivate the team, as well as maintain a high level of discipline and respect

What you'll bring

Qualifications:

• Shall have a minimum of sixteen (16) years technical experience in IT cable installation and termination
• Provide team leadership, engineering, and design knowledge to meet technical specifications
• In-Depth knowledge of termination equipment, methodologies, and splicing techniques
• Areas of knowledge must also include: physical ability to lift 50 pounds, cable termination, testing, cable rack preparation, layout and installation, and documentation
• A valid BICSI Technician certification is required
• Five additional years of experience may be substituted for certification
